Machu Picchu (Quechua machu pikchu sure, "Old Montaa) contemporneo is the name given to a llaqta (former Inca Andean village) of stone built mainly in the mid-fifteenth century in the rocky promontory joins the mountains Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu in the eastern foothills of the central Andes, southern Peru.
